KERATIN BROW LAMINATION GUIDE - WHO IS IT FOR & AFTERCARE

Updated: Nov 3, 2023

As we mentioned in our previous blog post, The Keratin Brow Lamination is the latest and most exciting treatment to hit the beauty industry, providing a painless solution for eyebrows that don't have symmetry or where the hairs follow a different pattern.

Read our blog post to get well-prepared for the treatment & enjoy your amazing brows for 6-12 weeks with proper aftercare.

Why should I get Brow Lamination?

The keratin brow lamination treatment will smooth unruly brow hair, thicken and increase the diameter of each strand of brow hair for a fuller and better shape for the brow.

How long does Brow Lamination last?

With proper care, the results from brow lamination can last from 4-6 weeks depending on your upkeep. (Read our aftercare tips below.)

Is a Brow Lamination safe?

Brow Lamination isn’t for everyone, especially those with very thin or non-existent brows. If you've ever had a severe reaction to your eyebrow tinting or a lash lift, or your skin is highly sensitive, it’s also probably not for you.

Who should get a Brow Lamination?

While Brow Lamination is generally for everyone, there are a few exceptions. You should stay away from brow lamination if you have allergies or past reactions to cosmetics or dyes. This treatment is not recommended for people who have skin conditions, inflammation, scratches, burns, or scares near the eyebrow area.

Is Brow Lamination safe during pregnancy?

Brow lamination is not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. High hormone levels present in pregnancy can create an elevated level of sensitivity which is likely to cause an adverse reaction.

Brow Lamination aftercare

No water or sweating: For 24-hours post brow lamination, stay away from water. That means no shower, no washing your face. So skip the workout that day and avoid any activity where you’ll get hot and sweaty.

No rubbing: Pretty self-explanatory but basically, leave your brow area alone for 24 hours after your lamination process. Just let them work their magic and keep your fingers off your face!

Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint (unless you’re after khaki coloured brows)

How do I keep my brows in shape after brow lamination?

Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last for 6-8 weeks.
